Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
Press Release Writing: Drafting press releases to announce company news, events, product launches, or other relevant updates. This involves summarizing key information in a clear and compelling manner and adhering to journalistic style guidelines.
Media Monitoring: Monitoring media coverage to track mentions of the organization or relevant industry topics. This includes tracking online news articles, social media mentions, and broadcast coverage using media monitoring tools.
Media Outreach: Assisting with media outreach efforts to pitch story ideas, arrange interviews, and secure media coverage. This may involve researching media contacts, crafting personalized pitches, and following up with journalists.
Content Creation: Creating content for various PR channels such as press kits, fact sheets, backgrounders, and media pitches. This could also include drafting blog posts, articles, or op-eds for publication on the organization's website or external platforms.
Social Media Management: Assisting with social media management by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement metrics, and responding to comments or messages. This may involve platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or TikTok, depending on the organization's presence.
Event Coordination: Supporting the planning and execution of events such as press conferences, product launches, media briefings, or promotional events. This includes logistical tasks such as venue coordination, guest list management, and on-site support.
